Quick Question on Thumbnail Generation..

If I select 10 second thumbnail interval do I get chapters too or do I have to choose between on or the other.

This is an area of the server that I haven't visited in a while but it seems I don't have chapter images during playback any longer.

No it is not one or the other, 10 second interval images will give you chapter images.

To display the chapters, first you need a client which shows chapter points  I know the AndroidTV client does, but I'm not sure what other clients do.. ?

That's the problem. We sold our house and the AndroidTV clients are in a box while we live with my MiL in search of a replacement home and we're using Samsung Tizen as the client for now.

 

Right now it is much easier to sell than to buy which is exasperated by the fact that we're being picky..

Best of luck with the Samsung Tizen Client - it's missing almost everything except playback  .. frankly I think an investment in a FireTV stick or cheap Roku for the sake of ~$30 will save your sanity ..

I did have a MiBox s Connected to the Samsung TV but it only confuses my wife as to whether to use HDMI 1 or the Tizen app so I disconnected it. If I take away the Emby Tizen app it will only create more confusion at this point..

She sees Emby on the menu bar at the bottom of the Samsung TV and selects it even though I've told her many times not to do it. I need to remove it but there's another Samsung TV in the Second Unit we're staying on my MiL's property and I would need to dig through FULL a 12' x 25' storage unit to find the box with another MiBox s in it.. Or buy another AndroidTV box.. And remove the app from the Samsung TV. All stuff I don't have time for so I just removed the MiBox s until I can get to it.

I don't know, sounds like the perfect opportunity to purchase a different device to try out.
I hear the new Google Chromecast is worth a look/test.

A lot of people say the GoogleTV interface is too full of ads but so is the latest AndroidTV interface.. Is it really that bad? Any good deals right now?
