Collections not showing any of my bluray full rips

Hi everyone,

i have the autoboxset plugin installed, and collection enabled, so everything works wonderfully for my SD/HS movies.

I organised my library in Movies, with a set of subfolders (like bluray conversions/divx/dvdrips etc) shared with family who can connect and stream from the server if they like.

Then i added another library which I called Full Bluray Rips, with all my blurays ripped to mkv with no downconversion.

Those for some reason don't show in the collections? Is that because I need to put them all in the same library?

Thanks for any help in advance

Hi, where exactly are they not showing?

Under collections. I have duplicates for each movie in the Guardian of the Galaxy series, and in collections I can only see the lower rez (12GB) cuts, instead of the original highest-rez ones. If I browse the Full Bluray Disks folder (configured as a movies Library), they are all there.

Have you added them to the collections?

Good point, I can't remember how I did that. How do I add the folder to the collections?

And also, I have not shared the full bluray rip folders with the family, so they don't try to play those remotely by mistake, But I have shared the collections with them. If I add the full blurays to the collection, will they becone visible to my family as well?

If a collection is made up of multiple items in multiple libraries, users can only see the items they have access to.

Thanks H2P for confirming, I have about 200 ripped bluray discs in the full bluray rip folder, how do I go about adding them to the collections in one go, without having to add each movie individually?

That is where I am a little confused. The plugin should be reading the collection id for the item via metadata and automatically creating and adding the items to Collection no matter the library.  The only place you truly see all collections in via Collections library as each library Collections tabs is sort of limited to that library (but items in the specific collection can be from multiple libraries).

So you are saying a specific libraries content is not being added to existing Collections?  We many need to see a server log of a complete library scan or running Refresh Box Sets via the Auto boxset plugin.

May need to see the content in a specific example collection.xml also.

Unless something has changed - you can't currently have multi-versions across different libraries/folders unless you use the 'Auto Movies Version Collections' plugin ?

Once that is installed and has grouped them - THEN you can see them all in the same item/collection.

If you want to remove permissions for the full bitrate rips, then simply take them out the library for that user - and they will no longer show in the drop down.

Thanks, that would make sense. It seems that this plugin is not available under the plugins entry in the emby settings page. My emby server runs as a docker on an unraid server, so probably I don't want to mess this us, and will continue to browse the full rip folder manually, until this plugin becomes available under the settings.
