bkai 2 Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 (edited) I've noticed lately that my guide doesn't seem to be refreshing properly... when I go to view the guide, every channel says "no program data available". When I check the logs I can see that the refresh ran on schedule with no errors. I've tried clearing cache on the android tv app and the app on my phone which didn't help. The only thing that appears to fix this is running the refresh again, manually. After that, simply exiting Live TV and going back into it displays the guide with all the refreshed data. Any ideas? pwhodges 2012 Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 I was going to report that yesterday evening (I was down to three days data, though a very few minor channels were complete), but then I did a manual refresh just to check, and I got all the data I expected again. Previous manual refreshes had not improved things, so I presumed that the problem was fixed. Paul
Carlo 4561 Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 There was a problem affecting some areas like the UK that was fixed.

bkai 2 Posted March 2, 2021 Author Posted March 2, 2021 I'll have to do this tomorrow since I've already manually updated it for today...
Carlo 4561 Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 Not sure that matters. Just tell us how far out the data is good for when looking at it in Emby.
bkai 2 Posted March 2, 2021 Author Posted March 2, 2021 It's good out to 7:30am tomorrow (for pretty much every channel)... beyond that it's all blank

Then post your server log file.
bkai 2 Posted March 2, 2021 Author Posted March 2, 2021 DVR is set to 7 days, here's my log after a refresh embyserver.txt

It's matching channels and removing data (past) but doesn't appear to be finding any new guide data to load.
bkai 2 Posted March 3, 2021 Author Posted March 3, 2021 Interesting, well I guess that would explain guide date not showing up past 24 hours after a manual refresh but what about my auto refresh every morning? Shouldn't that take care of at least the current day? When I go to check the guide a few hours after the auto refresh occurs, I have no guide data at all.
Carlo 4561 Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 Emby will load what ever the provider has available.
bkai 2 Posted March 3, 2021 Author Posted March 3, 2021 Right but what I'm saying specifically is that I have a scheduled task set for 7am every day. I can see in the logs that this indeed runs but if I check the guide at 8am, there is no guide data at all, as if the scheduled task never ran. But when I then run the refresh manually, all the guide data shows up. Are you suggesting that perhaps my scheduled task is occurring right before the end of the 24 hour period of data that my provider is making available and I should probably push this scheduled task out further a little bit?
Carlo 4561 Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 Oh, that's interesting. Can you try something for me? Change the schedule so it kicks off later in the morning when you're up or if you can do this before 7am leave it as is. About 6:30 am run a manual guide refresh and then note what the guide actually looks like. Then have the guide refresh by schedule at 7am and see if it's any different. Let us know.

Hah, I didn't see this until just now but I did change the task to 8:00am and just now checked the guide... there are a handful of channels with data but everything is still mostly missing. However, this is the first time I've manually refreshed this close to the scheduled task and this time I still have no data after a manual refresh. I should also note that last night I had changed my DVR settings to 3 days instead of 7. I set it back to auto and ran another refresh... still nothing. I'll try another refresh at 9:00am and again every half hour until I see data to test this theory. If neither of those work I'll leave the schedule set for 8:00am and check the guide tomorrow morning at 7:30am and see what happens.
Carlo 4561 Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 Would it be possible to send me via PM your XML Guide link so I can take a look at it?
bkai 2 Posted March 3, 2021 Author Posted March 3, 2021 sent... Also strange, so far I'm not getting any guide data today from my provider so perhaps they're just having issues. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Carlo 4561 Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 The link as sent when used in a browser returns a 404 error. That would definitely be why you aren't seeing any new data as it appears to be an invalid link.
bkai 2 Posted March 3, 2021 Author Posted March 3, 2021 For some reason when I pasted the link it escaped some of the characters... I'll send again but that's not what I have in the epg settings.
