gokuz 13 Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 After testing with multiple clients/IPs on the same account. This setting defaults to AUTO every new login. How do I keep it at 4K-120Mbps forever permanently?
ebr 16199 Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 Hi. You cannot do that because that setting is very dependent on the available connection for each of those devices. Related:

RP4 doesn't bode well with transcoding. Basically no point in emby's client choosing to transcode if it "senses" my connection is weak.

I manually have to change it to 4K in settings for it to play. The post you linked is 2 years ago, why not implement this feature?

That's the whole point of having stuff self hosted. Back to the topic, the signal is weak but its good enough to play direct play when I manually set it to 4K 120. So emby's threshold for "weak signal" is bad. I can play it direct play no problems.
Luke 42089 Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 Regarding settings storage, have your questions been answered related to that?
