Remote control for Music

Hi all

 

My mate and I are trying to get Emby to play through an amp /speakers the content of whats in the music folder on the servers.

We have connected a line out going to the amp as an aux input and can play musiv through the amp but we have to have the TV on and control through emby theater or the web app.

Is there a way of seeing whats in the music folder via a phone or tablet and then being able to remote play it from the server.

We can see other tablets etc from the web interface butand I can see other tablets but cant seem to control.

 

Basically would like to see whats in the music folder and play these but not through the phone or tablet thats accessing the server, rather the server playing the music.

i know used to be able to control what my son was watching on the server from my phone but cant seem to get that to work

Hi, yes, you can use the Emby web app, or the android, iOS, or Windows app on a phone or tablet to play to the TV. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
