Can not ues emby connect

i have set emby connect username,and the cloud icon is on the avator

i still can't join the server,it always show Invalid username and password.

i tried username and email address,didn't work

i have tried 3 devices, ipad(web,app), iphone(web,app), and pc web

so how to use emby connect?

is there any step i missd?

my network ip address is public,and the pot is opening, I can connect with ip address in other network environment

First, get your system working with external access to your user on the server, without using Connect.  Check the steps described in this article:

https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44002137137-remote-setup

Once you have external access working, you can consider whether you want to use Connect at all - but the key thing at this stage is to realise that Connect is not a way of bypassing the setup steps in that article.

Already set, I can connect my server outside by IP address.

Because the IP address will change, so I need to use connect to join my server.

Alternatively, you can use DDNS until your EmbyConnect issue solved. 

Edit: Or forever, for that matter.

Is this your account you're trying to connect with via Emby Connect?
If so you added "zushl" or the email address to the optional field for Emby Connect on your server correct?

From a browser if you go to either http://app.emby.media or https://app.emby.media what happens when you try to login?

yes,I have added zushl

And neither http nor https can’t join server,all shows Invalid username and password.so do app(iOS)

you mean IP address(showed on the admin dashboard)?

Now what happens from a browser if you use http://app.emby.media or https://app.emby.media ?

You would use your Emby Connect ID and password for this link.  BTW, use https above if you have a cert installed otherwise use http.

it shows invalid username and password

i tried forum's username and password, local server's user name and password, forum's username and local server' password , local server's username and forum's password, all of them can not work.(https and http)

btw, i have close Secure connection mode.

You shouldn't have to guess what username to use as you would have had to add the Emby Connect username to a user on your server.

Did you do that?

Users menu. Select user on right side.  Then fill in this option for the user.
(Optional) Emby Connect username or email address:

Make sure the Emby Connect username already exists and has been email verified.  Then try logging in with that EC username.

Let us know how you make out.

as my pictures showed few days ago, I had fill my username in option,verified the emaill address,and As the tutorial says,the cloud icon is on the avatar.

What I'd suggest trying it to remove the Emby Connect user, save, then add back.
Now check email to validate the connection.

I reset Emby Connect, i tried 3 times with correct username and passwrod , but it also show invalid username and password, and i get an e-mail from emby community, it said: we have  detected 3 failed log..........from US,

it's strange, my Proxy server is HK,not US, but I have tried 3 times ,maybe it's me.

I am using to automatically fill in the account password, i can login bbs,so the username and password is correct

Do you have any special characters in your password?

This is testing via web browser on a PC correct and not with an app correct?

maybe i had solve the problem,I compared the passwords of other websites and found that there is an extra space bar.then i use the password with the space bar login the ios client and web browser,But I still get this error in the web browser 3 days ago (web browser autofill password,and the password is correct),it's confused me。

Since it can be used, just ignore it

i can login select server website.but i have two choices of the same name,one of them i can't login another one i can login.Do these two servers mean internet and local area network?

and i have 4 ip address , i have 4 virtual network ports, do you know how to band a virtual wan port?

Why don't you reset the password to make sure it doesn't have the space in it and start trying to use it fresh this way since you can type it correctly?

It can be used, ignore it.

And when I login,I have two servers to choose from, What is the difference between two folds?  One can enter, one can't

I have four vwans, how should I bind one of the network ports?

If you only have one server just remove the other with the FORGET that prompts after you can't login to it.

If each VLAN is using different IP ranges the simple way would be to NETWORKS->Local IP address: in Emby to set the IP.  From that point on that will be the IP Emby will use.
