Solution Carlo 4561 Posted February 19, 2021 Solution Posted February 19, 2021 What do these look like on disc? https://www.thetvdb.com/series/black-clover/allseasons/official This shows episodes listed to 165 so info should be available. 1
pwhodges 2012 Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) Well, here I was, going to show you that although TVDB has the whole Black Clover series as a single run of episodes, but I had divided it into multiple season folders (so not matching the episode names) successfully - the same as I've done with the -monogatari series. But when I went to make screenshots to prove it, I found that the non-matching season folders are now displayed as empty! This is a change from previous behaviour, and since the -monogatari episodes are still as I expected, I need to find out why... (But I knew I was doing something unsupported, as I always say when describing this practice). The difference in the cases is that my extra Black Clover season folders are named just "Season 2", "Season 3", for -monogatari the unofficial season folders are named things like "Season 1 (Bakemonogatari)", "Season 2 (Nisemonogatari)", etc. Maybe having the extra name makes Emby less clear that I'm breaking the rules! EDIT: I find that TVDB does have the division into seasons that I use, as "DVD order", so it'll be natural to use that. I'll have to rename many files to use that, but with Bulk File Rename that's trivial. Paul Edited February 19, 2021 by pwhodges

Junior's got 145 episodes of that with TVDB meta-provider, all Season 1, looking fine at random check, including those 100+ ones. Must be naming issue. 1

You can either put all episodes in a Season 1 folder, with numbering going up to s01e99 and then on from s01e100, and this has worked for me in the past; or you can select DVD order in the series metadata and put the files into four season folders, with 51 episodes in each of series 1 to 3 (you can select DVD order in the TVDB interface to verify this) numbers as s01enn, s02enn etc. For reasons I explained above, I am now in the process of doing this myself, and should be able to show you the results in a few minutes. Happy2Play 9782 Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Would need to see structure and naming scheme as the image shows "Black Clover s1 ep 100"" unidentified. But to me without testing, it is unsupported naming scheme.
