deathlord 0 Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Tried to watch The Hobbit (2x ISO) and MBC correctly displays the disc selection on playback, but MBT just plays disk 1 and ignores disk 2.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Unfortunately, this is a known issue with MBT. I've had to use MakeMKV to extract and combine the disks to get long movies like this working properly.
deathlord 0 Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 Great ... maybe I just have to accept, that MB no longer offers a working solution for what I need. MB2 which was working mostly flawless for 2 years is no longer available, with MBC it is impossible to get ISOs and BluRay file structures to play, and MBT doesn't work with multis. What a pity ...
Luke 42077 Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Hang tight. Its not a decision that was made for MBT, we just haven't gotten to it yet
TrackZ 16 Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) +1 for this feature. Great to hear it is planned. I'm very excited to see where MBT goes in the coming big update. Edited August 13, 2014 by TrackZ
Yoda 3 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I get around this by simply putting each iso of the multi disc movie as a separate folder and adding "Disc 1" or "Part 1", "Disc 2", etc. after the initial title. For example, the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) Part 1. If you put the part 1 after the full title and year of the movie in the folder name, MBT will use the same metadata for both discs so the images and description will be the same, but it will actually display the name of the folder when browsing for movies which includes the Part 1. Alternatively, you can edit the name in metadata editor in the web browser. This allows me to differentiate different disc ISOs when scrolling through my collection while still retaining the correct images and metadata. Here's an example of the extended edition lord of the rings collection ISOs with 2 discs per movie. Not sure if that's helpful.
