Natively control emby not using CC.

Quite often when I Chromecast from emby app on android phone to shield pro with wmby for androidtv the server decides to transcode.

 

I guess the CC hw is quite limited in terms of codecs etc.

Starting the same video on thw shield uaing the ui on the tv then no transcoding occurs.

So my question is. Is there any alternative to casting to CC when I want to initiate playback from my phone?

 

Is there a direct connection available?

Emby for android phone to emby for Android TV?

Bypassimg CC all together.

Hi.  Yes.  If the app is running on the Shield, then it should show up as an option to cast directly to.
