Hi, that article on PCMag will get you started with the basics of purchasing a domain name.  Almost all domain providers also run DNS servers that you can use as well.

So once you have the domain name you want you would use their DNS system to point a record such as "emby".yourdomain.ext to your WAN IP address.

You will want to refer to instructions for DNS setup on the providers pages as they are all a bit different.

What is the actual issue?  That is the new pop up required to redirect to your server.  As there were media takedown requests sent to emby.media and Emby does not provide content.

And if you have a domain you would never need to use app.emby.media either, but if you did you would just redirect the same way.
