Jägs 85 Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 It seems that in iOS 14.5—currently in beta—you will be able to play music from third-party services using Siri: https://www.engadget.com/iphone-ios-14-5-beta-default-music-app-siri-152712457.html I have that beta installed—testing Apple Watch unlocking whilst wearing a mask—so I gave it a try and this is what first popped up was that I needed to verify my account information in Emby. I didn't see an obvious way to do that so I simply opened the app. After that, when I asked Siri to play "X" on Emby, it simply says it cannot find "X" on Emby. I assume there are some things that need to happen in the app/background to make this work, but I thought I'd bring it up here, as it would be AWESOME to be able to use Siri for this. I recently started using Emby for music, instead of just for videos, so this would hasten my switch. Thanks!
Luke 42077 Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 Hi, the search is working for us in our testing, but we haven't tried on the iOS beta yet. It's possible that we will need to make adjustments for it. We'll be looking at the new playback features. Thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Hi, can you try Emby for iOS 2.2.11 and let us know how that compares? Thanks.
