Duplicate collections

Hi everyone, I have come across a problem I can't find a solution to. I have duplicate collections and would like to remove one of them. If I delete the second collection will I then delete the enclosed files. from my computer? here's an example of the duplicate collections:

Deleting a collection does not delete the files listed in the collection.

Correct deleting collections does not affect item.  So you can try to remove one collection hoping it does not remove both.

I would probably try removing all items that make up those collections from my library, do a library scan, ensure collections and items no longer appear, then re-add the items.

But duplicate collections issue usually mean there is rogue information in the database, and a path change usually resolves this.
