clarkss12 304 Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Been testing a new Google Certified Android box, and one of my movies will not play. It gives "too many errors, giving up". This issue is only for this particular device. I tried using different servers, but same situation. Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, mono, fltp, 192 kb/s (default) Also, when I try to download the server log, Windows 10 deletes the file as soon as it downloads. ffmpeg-transcode-31cb3b89-b1c4-4b13-a966-c036f1cbeb8d_1.txt
drjonz 4 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 None of my AC3 mono will play. Installed Plex and they don't play there either. Yet they play fine in a browser from either emby or Plex.
ebr 16184 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 What version of the app are you using? My AC3 mono test file plays on the latest beta.
clarkss12 304 Posted February 7, 2021 Author Posted February 7, 2021 I purchased a Mecool KM 6 Deluxe with the Amlogic S905X4 SoC, and this is the only device that does not play that audio codec. All my other devices that I tested, it worked great. So, perhaps it is lacking that encoder for that codec...... Not sure Emby can do anything about it.

Luke 42079 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Have you tried our standard android app to see how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html

I would have to side load the Emby for Android app. Edit: Installed the Emby for Android app and it is working perfectly..... Edited February 7, 2021 by clarkss12
ebr 16184 Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 Please try this with the latest beta version of the TV app. Thanks.
clarkss12 304 Posted February 11, 2021 Author Posted February 11, 2021 Working like a champ now, Thanks. 1
