benze 1 Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 Is there an official Docker version of EmbyServer based on Ubuntu or Debian which is available in Dockerhub? I see that in the github repo there are Dockerfiles based on the different distros, but the only image I can see in Dockerhub is emby/embyserver which seems to be built on in a very limited BusyBox instance, with no tooling/etc. I couldn't find anything tagged that would indicate which distro(s) it was based on. Is there a Ubuntu/Debian distro image available somewhere for amd64? Thanks, Eric
Luke 42078 Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Hi, not from us, but the image from Linuxserver.io is debian-based. What do you mean by tooling, and what do you require? You could also very easily create a simple Dockerfile from ubuntu that just installs our Deb. 1
benze 1 Posted February 7, 2021 Author Posted February 7, 2021 By tooling, I meant curl and tcpdump. With issues I am having with OpenSubtitles, I wanted to try and debug connectivity from within the emby container in case there was something wrong. I didn't think of using the .deb or rpm from the emby site or github. Will try that, or give the Linuxserver.io a shot. Thanks, Eric
