jamesplay 22 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Hey, is there something wrong with the active devices on Firefox or Chrome? I sometimes find my PC running the ffmpeg process in the background while my active devices show nothing. I found that active devices do not show when on firefox for some reason however when seeking, the video shows up. I'm pretty sure this problem has only appeared in the latest stable releases, when the video player was revamped. This problem also does not seem to affect specific file types, however it still affects only certain files. I tried to rule out resolution, h264 profiles, codecs, etc. It also persists when changing video quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0V3AXhoXqmk
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) There is an occasional problem with FFMPEG processes not getting killed if a transcode is killed before finishing. So the active device could have quit and the transcode continues. The issue has been around for a while. Edited August 9, 2014 by Wayne Luke
