HVACPRO 1 Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 I have a User that changed / reset their password, but the old password still works. Not sure if this is a known bug or not, as I was unable to find any other similar issues reported. I'm running a Windows 10 server. I had to disable their old Username and assign another Username to this person in order to disable the old password ....
Luke 42079 Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Hi there, are you certain you actually changed the password? What password did you change and where?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Are you confusing Connect vs User accounts? Technically two accounts for every user if you use Connect.

What password did you change and where? I'm referring to the User name and password that are used when starting the Emby App (Windows)..... These Users are able to access the content on my server and I can manage them from my Dashboard. When the password is changed, BOTH the new and the old passwords are accepted to log in.
Luke 42079 Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 I believe you might be confusing the difference between the two forms of login that I mentioned earlier. When you sign in with one of these users, what does it say at the top of the screen?
HVACPRO 1 Posted February 18, 2021 Author Posted February 18, 2021 No, I dont think so. Here is the login screen for the Windows APP, see attached.
Luke 42079 Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 Ok. @cayars can jump on with you and take a look and give you an explanation. Thanks.
Carlo 4561 Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 @HVACPRO Send me a PM and we can make arrangements for a remote session to figure this out for you.
