Playback overlay not showing up

The playback overlay doesn't show up with pausing, forwarding, rewinding video, it just shows the video. What can I do to get it back? Currently running Emby Theater 3.0.14.

Yes, because I was experiencing pausing/skipping video in playback sooty234 recommended using the GPU renderer instead of "auto" in this recent post:

Weird, I did a reboot and now the overlay works again lol

I've got the same problem (OSD disappeared) but a restart doesn't fix it. Video changes are Output changed to GPU and refresh rate switching is enabled, everything else is Auto/default.

Totally eliminated the stuttering I was experiencing, but no OSD.

Can confirm it's the switch to GPU. If I switch it back to Auto, the OSD returns, but I get stuttering back.

Us there something else I can do to get the best of both worlds?
