Movie library files won't rescan after folders were renamed

Hi everyone, I am trying to rescan my library files after going through the files in my file explorer and renaming and dressing up the files. I click on "scan library files" and it appears that the files are being scanned but after completion there are no files (movies) listed in the library. I have triple checked the path to the library files and it is correct. The file format I used to set up the naming conventions is as per Emby Knowledge Base instructions. Why won't my files scan? Thanks for any help anyone might have.

Luke, Here is the screens i see

Hew3re is the path to my files

after selecting the path it appears to scan moving rapidly from 0 to about 80%  then on to a 100% more slowly. After reaching 100% there are no files recorded and none displayed. hope that makes things more clear.  Thanks

The forth library is Recorded TV.

Can you post or PM a server log after performing a library scan.

@Michael1952

Nothing stands out in the log but there is no reference to "L:\MEDIA\Films" though.

Only other thing I can think of is maybe going to Emby-Logs and enabling Debug logging, restarting Emby and performing a scan again and posting another log.  Unless @Luke has any other ideas.

Hi, can you try a couple things for me?

Go to this library settings turn on advanced and turn on real time monitoring.

Then go to plugins and remove port mapper.

Restart server and perform a library update.

Post new server log when it completes the library scan.

This can be disabled on the Network menu.

Cayares, I was unable to find the "Real time Monitoring  setting that you asked for but I did the other items you asked for... The scan proceeded as it has been. Rapidly from 0% to about 80% then slower, but still somewhat faster than a normal scan would go, from 80% to 100%.  Here is the log:

embyserver (2).txt

Why don't you try deleting the library entries, then scan library files from the dashboard.  Then add the folders back and scan  the library from the dashboard again.

Make sure you turn on ADVANCED UP TOP

Your folder doesn't show up in the log file again.

I would do as Ronstang suggested.  Remove this library and add it back again.

Ok guys here's what i have done . Cayars I went to the the library settings and Checked is "real-time monitoring" was checked and it was checked already, I am sorry Romstang, I don't know how and could find no info in the knowledge base on scanning from the dashboard, I did as you suggested and removed the library and scaned then added the library again and scanned but had the same outcome. Here is the log file for the scan that i did:

embyserver.txt

When you added the library back, did you wait for the scan to finish?

Michael1952

Yes it ran the scan as it has been running... quickly up to approx. 80%, then a bit slower up to 100%. No files show up.

By the way i checked if the library was through scanning both at the library page and the dashboard so I am sure it was through scanning.

How are the files named and organized underneath there?

Luke I have used the recommended folder format for my files Here's an example of the folder structure:image.png.1ef8abc67778c65eea6a49bdd0c6e6bd.pngl

And here is an example of the sub-folder:

Fairly standard i guess.
