ebr 16184 Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Hi. That item is not transcoding due to the audio. It is transcoding due to its bitrate - which is over what the app is telling it it can handle. It is transcoding plenty fast enough but maybe there are other constraints that mean this bitrate is still too high. Is this a remote connection? Can you try setting the max bitrate in the app to 10Mb and see if that solves the problem?

Carlo 4561 Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Both ffmpeg logs show transcoding being fast enough so that's not the reason. How are these clients connected to the server? Home network or remote? Wifi or Ethernet?

I thought we were testing at lower bitrates. Can you try setting the app to 5Mb and see if it plays smoothly then? If it does, move it up until you hit problems.
cbauer25 5 Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 Ok, set the app back to 5mb and still had the issue. Logs sent. Even tried going down to 1mb and it still froze. I also tried rebooting my entire setup (router, modem, switch, server). Still no luck. Nothing within my control has changed in several months. Could this be a FireTV update causing a problem?
ebr 16184 Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 I'm afraid I'm not really sure at this point. The best idea I have now would be to try the current beta which does update the player.
