bbdude 0 Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 When I view photos using Emby, on some (but not all) of my pictures, the date is superimposed on the lower right corner of the photo. How can I turn this off?
ebr 16169 Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 Hi. There is no option for this at this time. The date will currently display if it exists in the metadata.
bbdude 0 Posted January 29, 2021 Author Posted January 29, 2021 Ok thank ebr. Is it the "Date Taken" property that is being displayed?
bbdude 0 Posted January 29, 2021 Author Posted January 29, 2021 I was able to remove the date taken attribute but I still see the date on the Emby slide display. I am new to Emby, but I would think that other users would also object to having the large date info displayed over the top of their pictures. It detracts from the picture. Anyway, looking at the file properties, I now conclude it is the Date Modified attribute that is being displayed. Windows-10 File Explorer cannot remove the Date Modified attribute. How can I remove this attribute?
ebr 16169 Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 What it is actually showing is the Premiere Date in our metadata. Where this is filled in from may vary from the date taken tag or file date. You should be able to modify it in the metadata editor.
bbdude 0 Posted January 30, 2021 Author Posted January 30, 2021 Ok using the Metadata Editor I was able to get rid of the displayed date on 1 of the pictures. I did not see a "Premier Date" attribute, but there is a Release Date. I deleted the Release Date and that eliminated the displayed date for that particular slide. So ... how can I select all of the files and delete all of the Release Dates? ... Or is there another way to do this?
ebr 16169 Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 Sorry, I don't know that there will be any way to do that.
