3D (SBS) => autochange to 1080P option ?

hi.

I'm running emby client on the nvidia shield using a 4K JVC DILA projector that supports the usual 3D modes, side by side, top bottom, auto and MVC.

Have a few movies in SBS 3D format. Meta data of the movie is correctly showing the 3D flag. The UI of the movie also shows 3D icon.

When I start to playback of a 3D movie I would like emby to auto change to 1080P as otherwise my projector is unable to enter 3D mode.

Normally when running non 3D video material I would run at 4K resolution and then have the shield's AI upscale whatever res to 4K.

I dont want to always revert to 1080P for 2D movies, only in the event of a 3D movie :)

Is this feature already present somewhere ?

 

3D SBS works fine as long as a manually change res to 1080p

Hi.  No, not specific to 3D but you can set the option in the app to change to the resolution of the content.

Yeah I knew about this option.

Sadly it changes resolution for 2D material as well, which I do not want.

Guess I have to do it manually for the time being.

Just thought it would make for a great option
