wakeboarder141 40 Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 I used the Auto Boxset add on to create a bunch of collections. All seemed great, but now movies are going missing and collections are changing around for no reason. Some collections were created by Auto Boxset, and some of them I have created manually. Some examples I am having problems with are the Iron Man movies and the Marvel Movies collection. One second they had all of the movies, the next there is only one movie in Marvel Movies. I deleted the Iron Man collection because Iron Man 2 and 3 were showing up in Marvel Movies, but Iron Man 1 would not even though I added it. Now I don't see any of the Iron Man movies in my movie list unless I uncheck "Group Items into collections". Then they show up, but when I display collections again they are gone even though I can't find them in either of those collections. Most of the Marvel Movies I manually created the collection of are the same way. They are gone when collections are displayed, but the only movie that shows in the collection is Spider-Man Homecoming, even though they were all in there a minute ago. embyserver.txt
wakeboarder141 40 Posted January 27, 2021 Author Posted January 27, 2021 (edited) Also, if I login to a different user that has access to the 4k and 1080p versions, of which I have both in Marvel Movies Collection, all of them are in there for both versions. When I view this on a remote user that only has the 1080p versions is when all of them are missing. Edit: If I use the search function I am able to locate the movies, but can't find them by browsing anywhere. Edited January 27, 2021 by wakeboarder141
Luke 42083 Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Quote but when I display collections again they are gone even though I can't find them in either of those collections. They're not gone, rather, they are grouped into their collections. You have to click on a collection to see the items for it. Does this answer your question?

I have all of the MCU movies in a collection, and when I'm on my Admin user I can see 2 versions of every movie in that collection. When I am on my remote user that collection ONLY has Spider-Man Homecoming displayed in it, but ALL of the MCU movies are missing from the movie list as if they are in that collection. It's as if they are in that collection, but not being displayed. When I disable group into collections they appear in the movie list as they should, but once I enable collections the only way to find them is using the search function. They don't appear in the collection as they should. Even looking at the Metadata Manager it only lists the one movie while on a remote user, while my Admin user shows both version of every movie in that collection.
Luke 42083 Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Ok well collections have been reworked for the next release and should be more reliable once that is available. thanks.

Luke 42083 Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 You could try manually adding the titles to their respective collections.

I have done that, but they still aren't actually showing in the collection. Except on the Admin user that has access to both libraries. Edited January 27, 2021 by wakeboarder141
wakeboarder141 40 Posted January 28, 2021 Author Posted January 28, 2021 (edited) Just to add to my issue, once I finally got the movie "IT (1990)" correctly identified, I added it my IT Collection which has IT (2017) and IT Part 2 already in there, and it caused both of them to disappear from the collection, and they will only show in my movie library if I disable group into collections. wakeboarder141 40 Posted January 28, 2021 Author Posted January 28, 2021 Copying this from another topic to try and keep it organized here: I managed to gain access to the missing movies by logging into my admin user that has access to both movie libraries and splitting the 2 versions apart so that my 4k and 1080p version are no longer grouped. This kicked the 1080p version out of the collection and made it accessible in the 1080p library and I can add it back to the collection. After splitting, then manually adding back to the collection I am able to group the versions again and they both seem to be properly accessible.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 @LukeDoesn't that suggest there is a issue with grouped items metadata? Both items do not have the required collection metadata.
