sross44 432 Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 I have a quick question.... I have my max streaming bit rate set to 160 Mbits/sec. (Auto seems to mess me up when playing HDR content outside of the home network). If I leave it at this, it should only use what it it needs to correct? For example will a 1080p movie only use 10/Mbits/sec. I know this sounds stupid, but my stats for nerds has been all over the place lately and I’m just double checking for my own sanity that I’m not crazy. (Ok, yes I’m know I’m crazy.... just not about this)

pwhodges 2014 Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 If your server needs to transcode for another reason (audio or subtitle support, usually), then the transcoded bitrate may well be higher than the original file. This could account for some surprising stats. Paul 1
