Forced subtitle - always on?

So i read in order for emby to force play a specific subtitle, i need to add -forced in the extension.

I tested this on 1 movie but it doesnt seem to be working.

On web client it's already showing "sub language-forced" in subtitle list,

but when i play the movies it wont auto-select that sub, i still need to select it from sub list.

Does it have to configured on client side?

Ideally it should be managed in server think cause web client should need as few configs as possible.. any way to do this?

 

Edit : Its working now, not sure why it didnt work before even though i refreshed it. 

Just 1 more question, how do i force internal subs to always on to specific language?

Hi, there isn't a way to make internal preferred, but you can set your subtitle language preferences in emby user settings.

Hmm okay thanks luke hopefully someday it's possible.
