Update all subtitles from open subtitles.org VIP membership

I just got the VIP membership to Opensubtitles.org..

Q: Is there a way to reset all of the subtitles in my libraries at once; remove the old subtitles that were downloaded and update with new ones that do not have the advertising.

Hi, you'd have to just delete the existing subtitle files and then run a library scan followed by the subtitle download scheduled task.

Darn I was hoping for an automated way as I have just over 1000 movies.

Open your movie library in Windows Explorer. 

Do a search for "*.srt" without quotes. 

Ctrl+A to select all. 

Delete.

Does the VIP membership enable automatic downloads? I need subtitles for EVERYTHING, but it would be really helpful if they were just there...

You can have automatic downloads without vip, it's just that you'll be much more limited in how many you can get per day.

Forgive me if I'm missing something obvious ... while we're talking about it, can you point me to where this setting is that enables automatic downloads? I'd like to have the English versions turned on & there 100% of the time if I could.

Hmm.. it looks like I already had that set up, but it definitely isn't happening; maybe some of the time. I'll do some testing with a new library. Thanks so much!
