Help with Remote WAN Access

Hey everyone.

I have spent a good part of my day trying to figure this out.  So I have given in and came to post on here.

I am an unhappy remote Plex user and looking for a better alternative.

In Home LAN Emby server works flawlessly.  It is in testing and setting up remote WAN access that is still failing.

I have read every article I feel I could at this time.

My setup is a Bell Hub 3000 modem and a Google Wifi router connected to it.  There is no bridge feature so the Google Wifi router is just plugged into it.

I have tried forwarding both 8096 and 8920 separately in the Google Wifi app.  Still says:

Your Internet access is blocked

Firewall or antivirus software may have blocked the connection.

ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED

I have tried adding a rule in the Home Hub 3000 to also forward those ports.  Still nothing.
I do use VPN on my server and therefore the ip keeps changing.  Even with that I still can't get even get it to work remotely once.
Internally my server has a reserved ip that I was forwarding the ports to.
Any help in the right direction is much appreciated.
Thanks!

Ok I fixed my issue.
I just kept googling 8096 port forwarding pictures and happen to see a PIA pic. Then it got me thinking and then also found a related post on this forum about it.
I turned off my PIA VPN and everything worked! Then I saw in PIA there is split tunneling. I added the Emby server as an app exception and it still works.
Finally I can sleep tonight.

My ISP provider did maintenance today and my router has reset the ip addresses. i have changed them in my port forwarding and put them in my firewall and also split tunnelling but since this happened this morning i still cant access my emby server remotely. does anyone have any ideas as this is starting to annoy me now. everything was perfectly fine before this damn maintenance

thanks

Normally, you shouldn't have had to change this in your port forwarding if the WAN address changed.

Can you show a screen shot of your port forwarding setup?
