Emby Help!

When I put media inside the folder that is link to emby nothing pops up on the home screen like it would in Plex all that is seen is the Shows folder and that's it? I want to be able to see them when I directly open emby.

So what you are asking for is an option which will display the  contents of your one library as the home page, presumably only if you have a single library?

@pwhodges Yea, basically. Instead of going through folders etc... I just want everything to be shown on the Home Page.

Hi.  There is currently now way to do this but I think it has been asked before and there is a FR for it.

You could allow only the "Latest Media" rows and get close probably.

It's kind of an usual way to use Emby.  Typically you'll have movies, tv shows, maybe home movies, possibly photos and music libraries, podcasts, music stations, Recording Library and TV channels if using Live TV.

So you typically have a few different types of media libraries setup.

As you start to build up a couple different libraries you soon don't want all this media on the home screen but want to drill down into it.  However being able to see the newest added media, being able to continue playing TV Series or continue playing a movie you stopped early becomes a more important "home screen". Having favorite TV stations, etc become important.  This is more or less how the homescreen hub section works.

Of course this isn't an answer to your question or request but more the usual way people use Emby.

I'm not quite sure that your Library setup is fully correct, as your Home Screen should not be completely blank, even with only one library. Unless you've deliberately hidden My Media and Latest Media in Settings, which should be On by default?
