I recorded a series of The West Wing, bur after adding to Emby I discovered that the whole series is numbered incorrectly. Am thinking the best way to fix is to shutdown Emby and rename the episodes and associated BIF and GIF files, while deleting the associated System Information Files and the 'season' file., then let Emby update everything. Sound reasonable ?
rbjtech 5284 Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 (edited) I would move the files (put them somewhere outside the emby scan), then do a full emby scan so it removes them. Then shutdown emby. Rename the movie files only, and then put just them back into the scan as a fresh directory and let emby pick them up again and recreate bif's etc. emby will probably recover just fine if you renamed them live, but the above will be the safest way to to it imo.
