Having trouble getting new media to show up

I am trying to force an xml refresh on one of my folders so I removed it from my library and re-added it new. The problem is, I don't see it anywhere except under settings > library, where I added it. I have done a full library scan, a scan on that folder, restarted the server, but still no luck. Is there something else I need to do here?

Hi there, can you please go over an example? Thanks.

Hi Luke, I am not sure what else you are asking for here - can you clarify? I provided the only example I have in my original post.

Sorry I don't quite follow the issue.  I personally still use third party xml metadata and have no issue on stable or beta servers.

What is a xml refresh?

Don't see what?

Probably need a server log going over a specific example.

What is a xml refresh? refreshing the xml data from the server. if you need more context (although you shouldn't), you can find it here:

Don't see what? my new folder that was created - it doesn't even appear in the metadata manager

Still don't quite follow but the log is full of "network path was not found" errors.

System.IO.IOException: System.IO.IOException: The network path was not found.

So there has to be a path or permissions issue going on.

That's really weird because I can access all the paths from the machine the server is running from. I don't know how else to fix this aside from rebooting both machines to see if that fixes it.

Something is going on as all your libraries appear to be disconnecting also.

System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (64): The specified network name is no longer available.

Librarymonitor stops watching all libraries

Well restarting doesn't seem to have changed anything. I tried to run another media scan on the whole library and it seems to be stuck at 89.1% - I just updated the log file with the updated version

It looks liek the scan finished but the folder still doesn't show up in my library.

Can you go over a specific example of what you are referring to.  What folder not showing up where?

sure, I added this media:

This is the only place it shows up - not when I load the app on any device, not when I look in the metadata manager, etc. Does that make sense?

I just figured it out - I had to go into users and give access accordingly.

Yes that can be a problematic option when users have library access applied.  New libraries are restricted when added.
