tp546 41 Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 I am trying to force an xml refresh on one of my folders so I removed it from my library and re-added it new. The problem is, I don't see it anywhere except under settings > library, where I added it. I have done a full library scan, a scan on that folder, restarted the server, but still no luck. Is there something else I need to do here?
Luke 42083 Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Hi there, can you please go over an example? Thanks.

Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Sorry I don't quite follow the issue. I personally still use third party xml metadata and have no issue on stable or beta servers. 5 hours ago, tp546 said: I am trying to force an xml refresh on one of my folders What is a xml refresh? 5 hours ago, tp546 said: I don't see it anywhere except under settings > library, Don't see what? Probably need a server log going over a specific example.

What is a xml refresh? refreshing the xml data from the server. if you need more context (although you shouldn't), you can find it here: Don't see what? my new folder that was created - it doesn't even appear in the metadata manager Probably need a server log going over a specific example. tp546 41 Posted January 14, 2021 Author Posted January 14, 2021 Log file can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m24bjj3u5g5gfol/embyserver.txt?dl=0
Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Still don't quite follow but the log is full of "network path was not found" errors. System.IO.IOException: System.IO.IOException: The network path was not found. So there has to be a path or permissions issue going on.
tp546 41 Posted January 14, 2021 Author Posted January 14, 2021 That's really weird because I can access all the paths from the machine the server is running from. I don't know how else to fix this aside from rebooting both machines to see if that fixes it.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 (edited) Something is going on as all your libraries appear to be disconnecting also. System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (64): The specified network name is no longer available. Librarymonitor stops watching all libraries Edited January 15, 2021 by Happy2Play
tp546 41 Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 Well restarting doesn't seem to have changed anything. I tried to run another media scan on the whole library and it seems to be stuck at 89.1% - I just updated the log file with the updated version
tp546 41 Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 It looks liek the scan finished but the folder still doesn't show up in my library. Everything else is working. Any suggestions? Just updated the log file again: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m24bjj3u5g5gfol/embyserver.txt?dl=0

What folder not showing up where? sure, I added this media: This is the only place it shows up - not when I load the app on any device, not when I look in the metadata manager, etc. Does that make sense?
Solution tp546 41 Posted January 15, 2021 Author Solution Posted January 15, 2021 I just figured it out - I had to go into users and give access accordingly. 1
Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Yes that can be a problematic option when users have library access applied. New libraries are restricted when added. 1
