How many devices does HDHomeRun support?

I am about to buy an HDHomeRun HDHR5-2US Connect Duo Dual Tuner to give live television to various devices between cell phones, PC and Smart TV.
My question is how many devices can watch TV simultaneously with the HDHomeRun?

Or what do you recommend me to buy so that it supports about 20 devices or more connected to the tv simultaneously?

If I were you, I'd procure five Connect Quatro Tuners unless you know that the people using these devices typically watch the same programs and no recording will be done. Currently, Emby doesn't support tuning sub channels on one tuner but will at some point.

Hi, I'd get a Quatro vs the Duo as it has 4 tuners vs 2 tuners which can come in handy.

In the near future with the next major release of Live TV you will be able to access multiple channels on the same mux.  As an example a single mux could have channels 10.1,10.2,10.3,10.4 so the new version of Live TV could record/access all four of those stations with a single tuner.  So a single Quatro device will let you access all channels on any 4 Muxes. At present in the legacy live tv each specific channel will require it's own tuner so any 4 TV stations could be used on the Quatro.

Emby however can share the tuners with both recordings and users.  So using only a single tuner you could be recording ABC and have 6 people playing it back since it's just one station ABC.

Get the Quatro and don't worry about compression on the Duo as it's not that good.  Let your Emby server convert the video as needed.
