Will this server do HW transcoding ?

Hey im looking at this server.. 

 

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Hexa-Core
Simultaneous Multithreading

RAM:	64 GB DDR4
Hard drive:	2 x 2 TB SATA Enterprise HDD (software-RAID 1)

 

How many HW transcodes will this do if any....

I take it that after HW is at its limit it falls back to software?

If any?? lol that thing is a beast.  It'll do roughly 17 simultaneous transcodes

The real answer is zero. Or more accurately - however many your discrete GPU can handle. 

This CPU doesn't have integrated graphics and can't do HW transcoding.

ah, I misread the question.  @Q-Droidis correct.  However, it *can* do 17 simultaneous transcodes without hw acceleration, so I'm not sure why you'd care about acceleration at all.
