Kann mir bitte jemand erklären, was dieses Plugin genau macht?!

 

Sucht es nach .mkv dateien und wandelt diese dann in mp4 um? 

oder

sucht es nach .mkv dateien und erstellt zusätzlich eine. mp4?

Hi, according to it's description:

The Plugin moves through your TV library looking for .mkv files and repackages them as .mp4, and puts them alongside your original files, (if an .mp4 already exists it simply skips it), this is useful for clients that have issues with .mkv's. 

 

So it creates a duplicated version of your TV Library in a different container.  I'm really not sure how useful this is these days as most devices can now play MKV files just fine.  In the past some devices wouldn't play back MKV files so the answer was to convert over to MP4 files.

Do you have TV Shows in MKV format that won't play back properly on any devices?  Emby Server should be able to repackage these on the fly as well or use HLS for client delivery.
