I Just upgraded to a desktop from my surface, and in the process of setting up my server(not a single change in folders, file locations, AnYtHiNg)

But now all my movies won't actually display Under the proper "Movies" tab instead of the "Folders" tab

And this happens in ANY media library I crate that's a movie library

Hi, there's a good chance the issue is this:

If you don't think that it is, then please tell me how many Emby libraries you've created, and what folder path did you add to each one?

Here ya go

Because they are all deffinitely "Movie" Libraries.

Again I've changed NOTHING since all the were connected to my surface and last server and the last server didn't pull a stunt like this on me.

Also I've allready deleted like 3 other libraries in frustration currently

And lastly I have a library that does show them all in the proper place but that is only the all Encompassing D/Movie folder.

And if your going to tell me the only way to fix this is by removing the other files from my sub folders you can take that elsewhere

Since you rebuilt your server on a new machine, it looks like you don't have local metadata in your media folders and your library scan has not yet fully completed.

I would wait until the library scan is complete (blue progress bar on Libraries page) before checking the 'Movies' tab again.

Do you really honestly think I haven't allready run and completed several Scans

The metal data won't effect which of Emby's "Tabs" they display Under and I should know, because with as many migrations or Factory Resets I've done in the past This is the FIRST time this has happened, even before metadata downloaded in the past the displayed under the Proper "Movies" tab and not the "Folders" tab.

And seriously WTF is the server displaying a MOVIE FILE under a tab labeled "Folders" anyways.

If you have a library pointing to d:\movie, then you can't have another library pointing to d:\movie\holday

It's something we'd like to be able to accommodate in the future, we're just not quite there yet.

Problem solved, I guess in the past instead of selecting the overarching 😧 drive I've also individually selected folders in the past. It appears in my tired hazy set up of the server this time I attempted the shortcut overarch instead.

I have gone back and adjusted and now once the scan completes everything will once again be as it was in the Past 🖖🏼
