Will upgrading the NAS server increase the loading speed?

I currently have a DS218j, which has a 1.3GHz dual-core processor and 512MB of DDR3 memory. (HDD)

I have a collection of 3000+ movies and when I use the emby theatre, the loading time of posters/thumbnails in the library is slow.

Is upgrading the server gonna help?

And also is there a way to pre-download all the cache/thumbnails so that they can be loading without scrolling?

oof, yeah, thats a pretty wimpy server for that kind of library.

are you using an SSD to store the cache of artwork? That will make a huge difference in how quickly these are dispatched. Also make sure you have at least gigabit speed on your network. Then of course comes your RAM which is not near enough. You will need an Emby server with at least 8GB to have faster scrolling.

Thank you for you advice, now I'm considering purchase a better one.
