Disallow remote connections to this Emby server not working with Reverse Proxys

Although i've disabled the Network option "Allow remote connections to this Emby server" i can still login, browse and play everthing from a remote connection
when there's proxy server in use. I've even put my IP/netmask in the LAN networks option field. It doesn't matter. The strange thing is, Emby sees the remote IP and
even states "IsInLocalNetwork: False" in the log file!

As a reverse proxy i've tested caddyserver and nginx with the config file of @pir8radio
Without a reverse proxy it works as expected - access forbidden.
