Currently, I have no Image for the "Collections" icon in my Library listings - just a green box with a white square in the middle.  Does anybody have any suggestion for an image that would be appropriate for that icon?  All of the other icons are self-populating from content within that Library.  But Collections does not do that.

Hi, do you have any collections?

Posted

Yes, I have over 100 Collections out of over 3500 videos - Rocky, Star Wars, Star Trek, James Bond, and many, many others.  Most of my system is working great.  I just added another library (Exercise Videos) and the icon populated fine.

Ok this should be better with the 4.6 server release. Thanks.

Is there a image present in Edit Images?

One thing you can try is adding a custom image, then deleting it, then doing a library scan to see if it generates the dynamic image.

Thanks.  I'll try that now.

Having the same issue running 4.6.4.0 after migrating from another server (also 4.6.4.0).

Tried adding custom images, deleting them and doing a Library Scan but no success.  Any other tips?image.thumb.png.2910d789af25a448ca092da13489e7a7.png

Hi, you tried adding custom images to where?

So, I should start by saying that while my movies and TV Shows had no issues after migrating, it wasn't the case with the collections metadata(or I'd say, the images, the rest was fine), I had to manually refresh some individual collections (76 out of 132 to be precise). Either clicking "Refresh metadata" or "Scan Library files" in the individual collections got the image back for each one of them though.

However, the Collections "library" still had no image on it. I wanted to try what Happy2Play suggested here:

One thing you can try is adding a custom image, then deleting it, then doing a library scan to see if it generates the dynamic image.

I did that by clicking the three dots on the bottom right of the Collections Library - >Edit images and hitting the plus sign and adding an image to everything from Primary up to Art (so basically I filled all the images).  I then closed that window, my Collections Library now had the random images there so they stuck, went back and deleted all those images by doing the reverse process (Click on the three dots, Edit images, etc.).

After that, I went to Settings, Scheduled Tasks and ran Scan media library, Scan Metadata folder and Thumbnail image extraction, in that order, to see if it would dynamically generate the image for the Collections Library. It did not and it looks like the screenshot I posted before.  I will probably remove it from the Home Screen if I can't get it to generate that image, however it would be nice if it did.

Is that Collections folder empty? If so then please try what I suggested here:

Thanks.

The collections folder is NOT empty, as I said, it has 132 collections in there.  I can try removing that folder and checking if it will auto generate it, though that's a bit of a hassle.

Try that. It won't auto generate, but you can just create a new collection after doing that.

That fixed the issue. Thank you.
