Movie Naming Convention

I'm looking at changing the naming convention for my movies and wanted to see what impact that will have on Emby.  I'm using a very basic format of MovieName.quality.mkv.  I'm playing with Radarr and thought about adding more tags to the videos and have a few questions.

If I change all my existing movie folder and file names, what happens to all the existing supporting files and metadata?  Is it all re-created?

Is there a reason to actually care about the naming convention?  Where does Emby get the resolution / color space tags?  I'm assuming from the file data itself, since my movies don't have any of that data in the file name.

Thanks, but I didn't see anything in that article that explains what happens when things are renamed?

If you rename a video file then it essentially becomes a brand new item in the system, just as if you had deleted it and then added a new one.
