Emby Live TV which providor should I use mediaportal/next PVR etc

Purchased full version, now which provider should I use for Live TV?

My TV Tuner isn't supported as its not hauppage.
Ive installed next PVR but the plugin is not longer supported
Should I just use mediaportal?

Will Emby support other tuners? So I can just use Emby directly instead of installing a backend server for TV?

Hi, if you're on windows I would suggest next pvr and use their m3u output feature to import your tuner into emby server.

I thought the next PVR didn't work due to the plugin no longer working? Though M3U works?

Ive installed mediaportal 2, then 1 and had already installed next PVR.  Couldnt get mediaportal 1 or 2 working and prefer Nextpvr anyway.

How do i get the m3u from next pvr?

I have created a manual m3u and it works. However it has remembered an old m3u file and has not deleted those channels even though i have deleted and restarted emby.

If you are taking suggestions:

I have a Digibit R1 SAT>IP box that I would love to see native support for in Emby. I am still using TVHeadend so that I can use it along with my HDHomeRun CONNECT QUATRO

If I use M3U how do I get the EPG working? Doenst that require connection to the tuner?

You then setup guide data separately in emby server.

Also I have a hauppage tv tuner but its not detected... (292e)...

Just found that will update when tested. My tuner came with a tv center and not wintv..

Bought Wintv

It works now with Live TV but the old channels are still there from the previous m3u install even though I have deleted it.~

Edit:

Refresh the EPG guide and restart emby a few times and it deleted.
