LurchZA 4 Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Hi all, I am running Media Browser as a service on Windows 7 x64. Server version is 3.0.5326.13255 (I had the problem below with the previous server version as well. I am having a problem signing in to MB Classic both from a client machine and my Xbox 360 that I am using as a media extender. I successfully connect to the Windows Media Center, and select Media Browser, and at the point that I select a profile to sign in with it goes to a splash screen showing the Media Browser Classic logo and sits there indefinitely. I have two (2) user accounts and both do the same thing. Both accounts are also working fine to sign in via the web interface as well as Media Browser Theater. Server log files are attached.
buddyweiser 105 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I was having some extreme lagging myself logging into MBC recently. Wmc starts up fine, and is quite quick, but as soon as I click on mediabrowser, the wmc splash screen shows for a bit, then finally the MBC splash screen shows for a bit more, then finally the ehs shows up(I have autologin set) the entire login process takes nearly a full minute, where it used to take less than 5 seconds. I had recently disabled quicksync so enabled that and everything ran lighting fast again. However I have not always used quicksync, and never remember having the slow startup as I did now without it. I tried uninstall in plug-ins and even MBC itself with no luck. Then remembered about quicksync. I use the current beta. Sent using my Optimus L90
LurchZA 4 Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 hi ebr, According to the clients, MBC version: 3.0.196.0 I presume that would be the same version for the Xbox as well since they're connecting to the same source? If not, would you be able to advise how to check? thanks
LurchZA 4 Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 Update: I switched the Xbox on to see if I could see a version and I was able to sign in fine, then tried my one client machine and it is also working. Not sure what changed as I did not do anything between yesterday and today. Thanks for the suggestions though.
