johnsonb 12 Posted December 28, 2020 Posted December 28, 2020 Hello. I run Emby (4.4.3.0) under Linux Mint. Everything seems to be humming along just fine. I decided to setup Open Subtitles and see what I could find. Refreshing metadata got me a number of successful subtitles downloads. If I try it manually (hash or not) when I try to d/l I always get 'There was an error processing your request. Please try again later'. I have waiting several hours and I get the same error. This is both having the login credentials set correctly or not. This may be related. The list of subtitles does not always show up. I can try it, 6 possibles come back then exit the subtitles section and go back and try it again with no results. thanks
Luke 42078 Posted December 28, 2020 Posted December 28, 2020 HI, you might have hit your open subtitles limit for the day. Please attach the emby server log and we can verify. thanks.
johnsonb 12 Posted December 28, 2020 Author Posted December 28, 2020 Interesting Luke. If I am a VIP do I still get limits? It would be $20 well spent.I tried it with a different IP (logged in and out) with the same results. So far as the server log I have no idea where to find it. I represent the small contingent of Emby users who very much appreciate its reliability and dread the day it blows up. thanks
Luke 42078 Posted December 28, 2020 Posted December 28, 2020 Regarding the server log: I would check OpenSubtitles website for details on their VIP service as I don't want to respond on their behalf. Thanks.
johnsonb 12 Posted December 29, 2020 Author Posted December 29, 2020 Ok thanks. I installed Addic7ed hoping that would help. I get some more subtitles when searched manually. Even with a match I still get that error processing error more often than not. It is weird that sometimes the results are different for the same scan. Sometimes it's matching and other times not. I'll keep plugging away. thanks
Solution Q-Droid 989 Posted December 29, 2020 Solution Posted December 29, 2020 Do you have the Scheduled Task to Download Subtitles enabled? If so you might be hitting them more than you think and getting rate limited. I've disabled that task on my server and let it fetch subtitles automatically as media is added and/or manually.
johnsonb 12 Posted December 30, 2020 Author Posted December 30, 2020 Hi all. Well after plugging along it is working fine. The auto-feature is so slick (thanks Emby!) and caught almost every movie. The few I had to do manually. I get that funny error infrequently. I am a happy camper. thanks all
