some MKV Rips not being able to seek or resume

Anyone ever have issues with  MKV rips (remuxes) that won't allow you to seek or resume played state?

I've noticed this on my larger rips, anything above 20gb, I can start the movie fine, but if I stop it at a certain point and start it again it starts at the beginning and skip or FF doesn't work....your forced to start the movie from the beginning.

I'll look and pull some examples, I was just wondering if anyone has had this issue and narrowed down why? This has been something that has been going on for a few years, and I noticed it in Plex too when I was using it.

I think I have noticed on these, there weren't any chapter thumbnails either.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I am running windows 10

Hi, I would be the video is an old codec that causes issue.

Can you take a look at the detail screen for one of these and post a screen capture?
