Difference between Emby Premiere and Unlocking an App

Ok I subscribed to emby premiere but honestly the only reason I did was to be able to use the smby app on my fire cube but then I seen the option saying I could unlock the app for $4.89 does that mean if I pay it I would be able to use the app on my fire cube without having premiere?

The unlock fee unlocks video playback in the app.  It doesn't grant you any other premiere features.

If all i want to do with emby is watch videos I have in my collection than can't I just pay the one time fee to unlock the app or am I still gonna need to have the premiere subscription on top of that?
