KookieB 0 Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Hello, I just spent 30 minutes looking through past topics and the knowledgebase with no luck to an actual solution to my issue. I am trying to migrate from Plex to Emby for my video server and signed up for the Premier, however I cannot get TV shows to match based on folder names. My structure is: TV Shows - Breaking Bad - Breaking.Bad.S01.E01 - iefjisdjfiq9wejf9wjefj.mkv I have read the articles saying I should basically rename the MKV file to the name of the episode, but I have about 10 years worth and over 20,000 files, so that is basically a no go.

seanbuff 1318 Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Hi, that's certainly an odd folder structure and not one that I believe is supported by Emby (see here for naming structure) Perhaps you could use something like Filebot to bulk rename your files accordingly that will be supported by Plex, Emby and other software moving forward.
Luke 42081 Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 I think this is something we can support in future updates, but we're not quite there yet. @Happy2Play do you recall the example the other day of the user who had like show/s01-s07/episode, or something like that? I want to make a note of these. Thanks.
