DLNA with older Sony Bravia

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hello,

my newly installed Emby server works fine with my devices, except my Sony Bravia KDL-32V5500.

The Emby-Server is not recognized by the tv. Server diagnosis on the tv finds the Emby server fails: "No compatible data found" even it is showing correct Name, IP, MAC, Port etc.

A custom DLNA profile (derived from "Sony Bravia (2010))" with HTTP-Header set to X-AV-Client-Info: KDL-32V5500 did not help.

This is from the log file:

2020-12-20 16:44:49.528 Info Dlna: DLNA Session created for BRAVIA KDL-32V5500      - KDL-32V5500
2020-12-20 16:45:39.458 Info Dlna: DLNA Session created for BRAVIA KDL-32V5500      - KDL-32V5500

On my former Serviio the tv worked fine.

I'm quiet new to Emby si ther might be a missing configuration.

I hope anyone can help me to get it work.

Hi Luke, the logs as requested.

Emby is installed in %programfiles% and is running as a service using NSSM.

Ok, there might be some issues with older bravias that we need to look at. Thanks for reporting.

Hi, would you mind trying Emby Server 4.6+ (as of today in  beta), combined with the 1.0.45 Dlna plugin update(or greater)?

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !
