Accents appearing wrong

Don't think this is an Emby problem, as I can't find any posts about it, but hope you can help.

I have quite a few different actors/directors where the accent is not displayed correctly.

Example: Félix Enríquez Alcalá  is appearing as F�lix Enr�quez Alcal�

Anyone know how to fix this (apart from going through every actor/director and correcting them)

Not displayed correctly where?  Can you show specific examples and what client/apps.

It is appearing in all clients I use, and It appears in the nfo file - I understand that it is displaying what is in the nfo file, but I don't know why it has been imported in that format

Not sure what level it comes from but I corrected it directly on the Person title name.  But this is the only person I have seen with this accent issue.

May be specific to Director as I do not see any issues with Actors.

OT: Another night mare is TVDB has same person with and without accents assigned to different media.

Don't know the rule but one person is two different people do to spelling with and without accents..  So technically all media should be assigned to one person.  Sort of a grey area when you look at spelling like this.

Hi,

There is no rule at this level. This is the name as he writes himself if there is an accent in, it must appear.

I merged everything in the entry with the accents.

OT: I am sure I just corrupted a lot of old fetched data with this but all data has been merged into one person now. 24hr before edited data propagates.

Still testing this.

Testing this on a clean install in stable and beta on this specific episode, with providers as TMDB then TVDB do to TVDB having name without accents until data propagates, I do not get the results shown above.  Clean install so person never existed in database.

OT: Only issue I see is the person was not processed to get any info (episode level), ran refresh people task with no change, have to manually refresh.  But I don't believe this is a new issue as I see this a lot at episode level.  One other actor was not fetched also "Rio Alexander".  So it is a little quirky as only 2 of 15 were not fetched.  First 6 are gotten at Serie level.

Yes, nfo's are saved to the media folders

Try deleting one and then refreshing metadata on it.
