Default Media Download Settings

Hi,

emby apps always try to convert everything before download, even MP3's to Custom 0,32 mbps. I don't know where the server got that value from. (Also it doesn't work to convert them in general which seems to be a directory permission error for ffmpeg, but that's another problem). Can I somehow set the default to "Original" ? I don't know ANY device that can't playback my mp3's there is no need to convert them and I don't want to convert them. I can't find the setting to use "original" as default setting for downloads.

Hi there, that's not true. The default is based on a max bitrate of 320k. You can customize this in the app you're downloading from.

I Don't know why, but it also wants to convert my 320kbps mp3s to mp3 320kbps... But I found the setting in the App to just keep original. Solves  this problem for now. (Still I would like to have a "set as server default" button on the server admin panel for that ^^)

Your 320kbps mp3's in reality are probably a little bit higher than that and so that's why it is converting.
