Emby doesn't recognize Filipino correctly

Not sure this is a Emby issue as I just changed a track language in MKVtooknix header editor and see the same in Emby and Mediaarea MediaInfo

Yeah, it looks like you may have this advanced library option selected

and the actual 'Track name' in the file is saved as 'Fil EAC3 6 ch'

Try changing the above Emby option to 'Generate user friendly names using track information' and see if you have a better outcome.

Failing that, open the file in MKVtoolnix and remove the track name from the audio channel and remux the file again.

Emby should convert 'fil' into pretty format 'Filipino'

Yeah you're right. So it is Emby not recognizing this language correctly?

I've noticed in my MKVtoolnix Multiplexer, 'fil' is not a selectable language in the drop down list, but I can see it's valid in your Header Editor

Was just going to post the similar, but yes it is there.  Still testing but would think it is just the way the language is read with MediaInfo displaying the same.

It could be language specific as I can see this with other random languages, but common languages appear correctly  (not saying Filipino is not a common language).

From the wiki I am guessing it may not be official as it only appears in the notes for Tagalog.

It is just the way it organized as the list is in two sections.  I believe common, then alphabetical.

Afraid not, I actually had to go into the configuration and select it from a much larger list for it to be available for use

But yeah, as you said - obviously a less common language
