kilage 0 Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Whenever I or someone tries to access my server, it now is saying "Connecting to Server You will now be redirected to the domain owned and operated by the administrator of the server you've chosen to connect to:" And then goes to show my ip and server name. Why is it doing this now? My girlfriend is trying to access it but cant remember her password. She can't reset it because after all this when she hits forget password, it says "please try again within your home network to initiate the password reset process". What changed??
Abobader 3464 Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Hello kilage, Please wait for someone from staff support or our members to reply to you. It's recommended to provide more info, as it explain in this thread: How to Report a Problem Thank you. Emby Team
Solution Carlo 4561 Posted December 18, 2020 Solution Posted December 18, 2020 Hi, the change was made to make the host Emby Server transparent so the server isn't hidden behind the Emby Domain. If your girlfriend can't remember her Emby Connect password, she can reset it here:https://emby.media/community/index.php?/lostpassword It's it's your local server password she can't remember, you can change that right on your Emby Server.

Got it, thank you! Is there any way to undo this change on my end?
Carlo 4561 Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 No, this is the way it will work moving forward as we can't have servers hidden behind the Emby domains. 1
ebr 16186 Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Hi. Just to note, the change in url is not related to the password issue you are encountering. 2
