Rob McChesney 1 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Can someone fill me in on how to import an M3u Music Playlist?
Luke 42083 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Hi, do you have m3u files in your music directories?
Rob McChesney 1 Posted December 14, 2020 Author Posted December 14, 2020 I don't think so. All I have is Artist / Album / ## Track Name structure setup under a single music library.
Rob McChesney 1 Posted December 14, 2020 Author Posted December 14, 2020 I tried dropping a text.M3u in the music library and also creating Folder with the playlist name with a playlist.m3u file inside.

That's basically all you need to do. The links inside the playlist need to point to existing items in your emby library. @cayars
Carlo 4561 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 @Luke I just tried tried creating a sample m3u file with just a couple of entries in it and place it at the root of my music library. Then did a full library scan. I do not see this playlist anywhere on my system. Should it appear in my playlist section or in the music section? I tried a couple formats and attaching the latest version with 3 songs in it. Can you take a look at the file? Can the m3u file not be in the root? Sample.m3u
Luke 42083 Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 It can be in the root. The paths in the m3u need to be relatively or exactly match the paths used in emby library setup.
Rob McChesney 1 Posted December 15, 2020 Author Posted December 15, 2020 I think I may have found my problem, I forgot that I had organized artists into a few alphabetical folders. So I created a new music master library and moved all my music into that library with artist folders only. Thanks for your help!
