Raajr 0 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I cannot connect remotely from outside my home network since my Emby server (on Win 10 pc) autoupdated to 4.5.3.0 a few days ago. Prior to the update, everything was working smoothly within the home network as well as outside the network. Currently I can only connect within the home network. Nothing changed with firewall settings on both the server as well as the router. I have restarted the router, server, Emby program itself on both the server and various devices, and still no luck. Any ideas what to do? If not, how do I downgrade to the previous version? Thanks.

dansblackcat 37 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 This happens to me every now and then. In the server settings under "Users" go into the user you're having issues with. is the "(Optional) Emby Connect username or email address" blank? If it is enter the username again. If it's not you can remove the name, leave it blank, click save and then enter the name again. Click save again. Try that and see if it helps. It's what I've done in the past.
ebr 16184 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Hi. Does Canyouseeme.org still show your port accessible? Are you positive that nothing actually changed in Firewall settings? Sometimes Windows will automatically create blocking rules when a new version is installed. Or, the internal IP address may have changed for some reason not really related to the update which would mean you'd need to change your router forwarding. 1
